This PAINTING HUNG

This is my father's painting of Sopron, his hometown, which was fastened to the wall by a wire and nail, always hanging slightly askew. He returned to Sopron occasionally, longing for it but never lingering. It leaves me pondering if he yearned to reclaim that past. Were the figures within the painting echoes of actual townsfolk or simply creations of the artist’s imagination? Was this scene captured from a photograph or painted from memory? And ultimately, what significance does that hold? Dad only looked and remembered.
