Artist Statement

My lens-based artistry delves into the hidden poetics of the everyday, transforming ordinary, mundane objects into sources of wonder and reflection. Through an interplay of photography, text, and digital manipulation, I highlight the overlooked beauty and humour in everyday moments, challenging viewers to pause and appreciate the familiar. Drawing inspiration from traditional advertising methodologies, my works mirror product photos, but with a twist that unsettles the familiar, prompting deeper engagement. I invite viewers to see the world anew and recognize the unexpected connections within the ordinary. My art serves as a respite from modern life's ceaseless stimuli, emphasizing the importance of slowing down and cherishing the moments often taken for granted.
