This envelope held screws
This envelope belonged to my Dad. My Mom had labelled it with the word "stamps" on the outside, and it likely did contain stamps at some point. However, when I discovered this envelope, it was actually filled with screws. My Dad was aware of the screws in there, probably leftover from something long gone, but he considered them to be in good condition and worth keeping. The envelope itself was also considered "good" and worth preserving. He knew no more stamps were inside, but anyone else would have to open it and check to find out. This was my Dad's method of storing and keeping items that he deemed valuable and potentially useful in the future. I kept the screws and the envelope because you never know.
